Volunteer with Hillingdon Libraries

There are lots of volunteering opportunities with our library service, where you can gain experience, improve your mental and physical wellbeing, and give something back to the community. It's also a great way of meeting new people and learning new skills.

Whether you're a student, a parent, young person, a professional or enjoying retirement, there are volunteering opportunities open to everyone, and your support is very much appreciated and valued!

We welcome 14 to 17-year-olds to get involved in a range of volunteering roles. You can support our Summer Reading Challenge, or volunteer as part of the Duke of Edinburgh programme or through a school work experience placement.
Choose from a wide range of exciting volunteering opportunities for adults in our libraries - from running weekly sessions, to helping at occasional author events, or supporting new computer users with digital skills.
