Training and support for professionals

The SEND and Inclusion Service provides various training and support services for professionals.

SAS team training  

SAS has a tiered approach to training for professionals: 

  • universal training is provided to all professionals
  • targeted training (which is primarily for education settings) is designed to short-term with a specific area of focus.
  • specific training provides whole-setting training, which is intensive, long-term support. 

SEND statutory team training  

The SEND statutory team offers various training, which primarily focuses on the EHCP process and statutory support that should be provided by settings.

Educational psychologist team training

The educational psychologist team delivers training to help settings understand and support the needs and wellbeing of children with SEND.
