HUG 2 funding for energy efficiency upgrades
Home Upgrade Grant phase 2 (HUG 2) is a UK government-funded scheme that aims to improve the energy efficiency of homes across England.
We have teamed up with the Greater London Authority and Everwarm to provide energy efficiency upgrades to eligible owner-occupied homes.
What improvements can be made using the funding?
Funding is available for energy efficiency home improvements, including:
- wall, loft and floor insulation
- low carbon heating
- solar panels.
Who can apply for this funding?
To be eligible you must:
- own your home
- have a gross household income of £36,000 per year or less OR live in a certain postcodes
- live in a home with a low energy rating
- live in a home with no gas central heating and
- live in a property that is an existing domestic dwelling (rather than a new build or self-built property).
How can I apply?
If you meet the eligibility criteria above, please complete the initial HUG 2 application form.
What happens next?
Everwarm will carry out an initial eligibility assessment and then contact you within 6 working days.
You will be required to provide documentation to verify your eligibility for the scheme.
If your household is found to be eligible, Everwarm will allocate one of its qualified property surveyors to carry out an assessment of your property to determine what energy efficiency upgrades might be suitable.
Once the proposed upgrade(s) have been approved by the council and agreed to by the resident, Everwarm will allocate accredited installers to carry out the improvements.
Once installed, Everwarm will provide detailed information on how to work the new system(s) and will ensure all relevant warranties are in place.
