COVID-19 Support Grant scheme
The government has awarded money to Hillingdon Council, as part of the COVID Support Grant, to provide support to families with children particularly affected by the pandemic.
The funding will be used to help families struggling to meet the cost of food bills during the summer holidays.
The amount available will be £15 per week for a total of 6 weeks per eligible child. This payment will be in the form of a food voucher.
The food vouchers will be issued in two stages - the first voucher will be issued during week beginning 19 July 2021.The second voucher will be issued during week beginning 10 August 2021.
All vouchers will expire one month from the date of issue.
Eligible families have already been identified and will be contacted directly.
To be eligible for the grant you must be in receipt of benefit-related free school meals or have a child under 5 who would qualify for benefit-related free school meals if they were of school age.
The scheme will close on 30 September 2021.
