The chapels
Breakspear Crematorium has 2 chapels.
The East chapel is of traditional style.
The West chapel is of a circular modern design.
The North chapel is an overflow chapel allowing large services (150 seated) to be screened from the West chapel.
The East and West chapels:
- are interdenominational and can cater for all religious needs - religious symbols can be displayed or removed
- are equipped with an electronic organ (no organist)
- seat upwards of 80 persons with sufficient space to allow for standing room approximately 50
- are equipped with digital music Obitus system and Visual Tribute screens.
All chapels have wheelchair access, waiting areas and toilets.
Service times
Both chapels are bookable for 30 minute intervals Monday to Friday. It is possible to book a longer time for an additional charge.
The East chapel is bookable on the hour and half hour between 9.30m and 3.30pm.
The West chapel is bookable on the quarter past and quarter to between 9.15am and 3.15pm.
