- Description: Imperial College was established in 1907 as an amalgamation of the Royal School of Mines, the Royal College of Science and the City and Guilds Engineering College. After WW1, each of these erected its own war memorial but part of the memorial fund was applied to the acquisition of land for an athletic ground. In 1935, the ground at Sudbury near Wembley (64112) was sold and the following year a new site at Harlington was purchased.
