- Description: Large wall-mounted carved and gilded angel holding a lifeboat, with wall mounted brass plaque bearing inscription:
THE ANGEL/OF/GOD'S PRESENCE/IN EVER-LIVING AND LOVING REMEMBRANCE OF (NAMES) GREAT FRIENDS AND HAPPY COMPANIONS/WHO GAVE TO LIFE THEIR JOYOUS YOUTH AND TO DUTY THEIR LOYAL/DEVOTION. REMEMBERING ALSO THE TWENTY OTHER MEMBERS OF THE/W.R.N.S AND ONE NAVAL NURSING OFFICER WHO PERISHED WITH/THEM IN THE S.S.AQUILA TORPEDOED AT SEA IN THE MORNING OF/19TH AUGUST 1941 ON THEIR WAY TO TAKE UP DUTIES AT GIBRALTAR.
