Hillingdon in Bloom terms and conditions

Please read the show terms and conditions before completing the Hillingdon in Bloom 2022 application.

  1. The competition is open to Hillingdon residents only.   
  2. The competition is free to enter.
  3. Entrants must be over 18.
  4. Applications and photographs may only be submitted between 20 April and 29 July 2022. Note: applications should only be submitted once displays are ready to be photographed.
  5. Entrants are permitted to enter 1 photographic image per category as an attachment to the application form in accordance with the application instructions. 
  6. The use of photo editing software to alter the images is not permitted.
  7. Images must not include watermarks, borders, or signatures.
  8. Images must be of the Entrant's own property and must be date stamped between Monday 20 April and Friday 29 July 2022.
  9. The council accepts no responsibility for entries that may be lost, damaged or delayed, whether due to transmission errors, website malfunction, computer error or otherwise. 
  10. Judging of entries will be undertaken by the council's Green Spaces Team. 
  11. The council reserves the right to refuse to accept any entries and, in the event of any such refusal, is not required to give reason or explanation.
  12. Residents may enter more than one category of the Hillingdon in Bloom competition.
  13. Prize winners will be awarded a rosette, a certificate, and a combination of RAGC and RHS Garden Centre vouchers. Note: vouchers are not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
  14. A competitor, when awarded 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in any category, may not win vouchers exceeding a value of £300 in total. Note: vouchers are not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
  15. Winners will be contacted week commencing Monday 3 October 2022.
  16. Prizes will be posted to winners by first class, registered mail by the end of the first week in November at the latest.
  17. The council has the authority to withhold prizes at their discretion. 
  18. By entering the competition, entrants will be deemed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
  19. Any breach of the terms and conditions by an entrant will void their entry.
  20. If a breach has occurred but is only discovered after the award of a prize, the council may require the prize to be returned.
  21. The council reserves the right to exclude or disqualify any entrant who has acted fraudulently in any way.
  22. Complaints or protests must be made in writing to autumnshowandbloom@hillingdon.gov.uk by 4pm on Monday 10 October 2022. Such protests shall be considered by the show committee, whose decision will be final.
