Pilot Officer Euan Owens Watson
- Watson educated in Westminster School and spent a year at Oxford University.
- He worked for a year at a Scottish Chartered Accountants in the City of London. After the war, he became a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
- Joined the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve in 1939 as U/T pilot and started training at 2 EFTS (Elementary Flying Training School) Filton on 17 April. He then moved on to 13 EFTS White Waltham on 12 August.
- His course ended on 31 August and he joined active duty the next day.
- He married the Honorable Gladys Catto on 25 November 1939. They went on to have 3 children - Anthony, Marilyn and Zoe.
- On 22 September 1940, he joined No. 64 Squadron, Leaconsfield, and flew with them through the Battle of Britain, operating between Leaconsfield, Biggin Hill and Coltishall.
- Joined 58 OTU, Grangemouth, as an instructor on 16 September 1941.
- In 1942, while serving with this squadron, he broke his leg after falling off his motorcycle and had a month off from flying.
- Joined No. 610 Squadron, Ludham on 23 September 1942.
- On 20 October 1942, he joined No. 611 Squadron, Biggin Hill.
- Joined No. 129 Squadron at Orkney on 9 January 1943.
- On 1 June 1943, he joined the newly-formed No. 93 Squadron at Andreas on the Isle of Man as a Flight Lieutenant.
- Joined No. 79 Squadron, Chittagong, India on 22 December 1943.
- On 7 February 1944, Watson joined HQ 224 Group.
- Joined No. 136 Squadron, Winjing, Imphala Valley as Wing Commander on 14 March 1944.
- Also served in Colombo, Ceylon (now Sri Lanka),and Jalia and Chatra in India.
- He and his family wanted to emigrate to Canada but he contracted polyneuritis and died in Toronto on 15 April 1954.
