Sergeant John Alan Scott

- Scottwas called up on 1 September 1939.
- Joined a number of squadrons during 1940.
- Joined No. 7 OTU (Operational Training Unit), Hawarden l in September 1940.
- On 23 September 1940, he joined No. 266 Squadron, Wittering.
- Joined No. 611 Squadron, Tern Hill on 27 September 1940.
- He joined No. 74 Squadron, Biggin Hill on 23 October 1940.
- Scott was shot down and killed in combat with Messerschmitt Bf 109s over Maidstone on 27 October 1940.
- He was 22 years old.
