Flight Lieutenant Norman Hugh Donald Ramsey

• Joined the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve in 1939 and was called to full service upon the outbreak of war.
• In May 1940, he joined No. 92 Squadron.
• In June 1940, joined No. 610 Squadron.
• He joined No. 222 Squadron in September 1940.
• In March 1941,  joined No. 61 OTU as an instructor.
• Joined No. 1435 Squadron in Luqa, Malta in January 1943.
  
  

• Ramsey had 1 confirmed kill during the Battle of Britain.
• Posted back to the UK in July 1943.
• He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
• Retired from the RAF in July 1962 as Flight Lieutenant. He then emigrated to New Zealand.
