- Joined No. 1435 Squadron in Luqa, Malta in January 1943.
- Ramsey had 1 confirmed kill during the Battle of Britain.
- Posted back to the UK in July 1943.
- He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
- Retired from the RAF in July 1962 as Flight Lieutenant. He then emigrated to New Zealand.
