Why should I become a Hillingdon Cycle Ranger?

There are a number of reasons:

  • you can get things fixed: such as broken cycle stands; broken drains or cycle lane debris cleaned up (report via online services 24/7)
  • report 'abandoned' bikes to help free up cycle parking spaces and improved the street scene
  • encourage people to consider cycling
  • lead by example
  • Make suggestions to improve cycling in the London Borough of Hillingdon.

In summary, by becoming a Hillingdon Cycle Ranger you can become the 'eyes and ears' for cycling Hillingdon and help in encouraging more people to cycle. With your help we aim to increase the number of Hillingdon residents cycling to make a more active community and encourage the use of cycling to make everyday journeys.

What does being a Hillingdon Cycle Ranger involve?

The Hillingdon Cycle Ranger Scheme is a voluntary scheme. There are no obligations to report on a regular basis or attend council meetings. The emphasis is on doing as little or as much as you are able.
