Hayes fire update
Tuesday 25 March 2025: Hillingdon Council teams came together to take quick action to support residents following a significant fire at the electrical substation in Nestles Avenue, Hayes on Friday 21 March.
The small number of missed refuse collections for those impacted by the fire were collected on Saturday as planned, and all other council services have returned to normal.
Public transport and road travel have also returned to normal.
An investigation is being led by the police into the cause of the fire and a cordon will need to remain in place while this is carried out.
