Playground refurbishment programme continues
Friday 7 March 2025: Hillingdon Council officially opened four newly refurbished playgrounds yesterday (6 March) in the latest round of its £1.6 million investment programme.

Upgrades have also been completed at the playground at Croyde Avenue, Hayes and The Brambles ball court in West Drayton, bringing the total number of playgrounds improved since 2023 as part of the programme to 23.
The four sites have been modernised with the latest play equipment to make them more fun, inclusive and accessible.
Hayes End Community Park playground now features an inclusive low level multi-play unit with ramps for wheelchair users, 'me-to-you' swings and a new climbing octagon.
Shenley Park has a spinning bowl, tractor-themed multi-play unit and floor graphics, including hopscotch, snakes and ladders and a chess board.
The play area in Croyde Avenue has a multi-play climbing frame and slide, swings, roundabout, character springers and interactive play panels.
The ball court in The Brambles has been fully refurbished with a new surface and fencing, agility fitness graphics on the floor, new goals and basketball hoops.
Cllr Lavery said: "Our continuing investment in high quality, accessible play and leisure facilities is a key part of our commitment to delivering value for money services for residents that help them keep active and healthy."
