Hillingdon Council statement on the redevelopment of Hillingdon Hospital
Tuesday 21 January 2025: Cllr Jonathan Bianco, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Corporate Services and Property, said: "We're glad that the government has finally seen sense and decided to move forward with the Hillingdon Hospital redevelopment.
"We're naturally disappointed with the further delay and missed opportunity to deliver a state-of-the art hospital as soon as possible, and have concerns about the wider health impacts for our residents, given the funding had been confirmed by the previous government and the further commitment from Wes Streeting that the project would be a priority when he visited in June 2023. However, we will continue to work closely with our NHS colleagues to ensure there are no further delays."
