Hillingdon Council announces changes to Cabinet

Thursday 24 October, 2024: Hillingdon Council has made changes to its Cabinet, taking effect from today (Thursday 24 October).

Cllr Douglas Mills, who was Cabinet Member for Corporate Services, has left the Cabinet after 22 years' service. He joined the first Cabinet formed in Hillingdon in 2002 as Member for Performance and Regeneration and has held a variety of roles since.  

Cllr Steve Tuckwell, ward councillor for South Ruislip, has joined the Cabinet, with responsibility for the newly created Planning, Housing and Growth portfolio. 

Following this change, the responsibilities of three serving Cabinet members have been rebalanced. These are:

  • Cllr Martin Goddard, Cabinet Member for Finance and Transformation
  • Cllr Jonathan Bianco, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Corporate Services and Property
  • Cllr Eddie Lavery, Cabinet Member for Community and Environment.

The portfolios of Cllr Susan O'Brien, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education, and Cllr Jane Palmer, Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care, are unchanged.
