Car meets consultation

We're asking residents to share their views and experiences on car meets that have taken place in the borough during the past 12 months.

What are car meets?

Car meets involve individuals gathering with their vehicles, in a public location to take part in (as a driver or passenger) or watch various vehicle-based activities including:

  • speeding
  • driving in convoys
  • racing.

Some routes in and around the borough are also being used for such events and even include illegal street traders selling food and drink. We have been working with the police to prevent these meets by,

  • issuing penalty charge notices (PCNs)
  • seizing illegally-modified vehicles
  • introducing traffic-calming measures.

In order to prevent the anti-social behaviour these events cause, we are seeking a court injunction and would like to hear from residents about their views and experiences of car meets in Hillingdon. The feedback given will be used as evidence in the application process.
